Founded By Alan Ashkinazy
Alan Ashkinazy, a former Boston Red Sox player, founded the Greensboro Batting Center in February of 1987. Growing up on the streets of New York City, Alan brings a tough enthusiasm to the game. After graduating from The New York Institute of Technology, he signed to play in The Boston Red Sox organization. He played for The Greensboro Hornets in 1985 and 1986. Today, Alan’s vision of providing a top-notch training facility for players of all ages and skill levels is embodied by the Greensboro Batting Center. With a commitment to excellence, community, and the principles of teamwork and sportsmanship, we empower our athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the field.
What to Expect
Individual Activities:
- 6 batting cages (4 baseball, 2 softball)
- Live one-on-one instruction
- Carolina Acceleration offering individual training
- Visit the Cards at the Cages (fully stocked card shop for the collector)
Team or Group Activities
- 10 live cages (used for individual or team training)
- 4 Pitching Mounds
- Infield/Catching Area
- 40 yard sprint track
- Fully Stocked weight room with 4 treadmills
- Full artificial turf field used for infield and outfield training
- NEW Warm up area and party room for birthday parties, team celebrations, etc.
Hours
Monday-Friday: Noon-8pm
Saturday: 10am-6pm
Sunday: 1pm-6pm
